Onam Special Battle of Bands is a music band competition presented by Milma TRCMPU Ltd as part of the Vanitha Ponnonakkazhcha celebrations. The competition will be held at the Lulu Mall Grand Atrium, Lulu Mall, Thiruvananthapuram on 22 August 2026. Celebrating the spirit of Onam, the event invites music bands to perform live and compete for exciting cash prizes.

Participating teams can have a maximum of nine members, including singers and instrumentalists. Each band must perform at least one Onam song during its performance, with live instrumental presentations preferred. Every team will receive a 30-minute performance slot, and all performances must be completely live. The use of pre-recorded music, backing tracks, pen drives, programmed tracks, sequencers, or similar devices is strictly prohibited. Participants are encouraged to wear traditional attire that reflects the spirit and cultural heritage of Onam.

The competition takes place from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on 22 August 2026 at the Lulu Mall Grand Atrium in Thiruvananthapuram. The first prize is ₹50,000, the second prize is ₹30,000, and the third prize is ₹20,000. Assured prize money will be awarded to all participating teams. Team registrations can be made by contacting the registration number provided. Lulu Mall Thiruvananthapuram is the venue partner for the event.
