Mohiniyattam Workshop by Jayaprabha Menon | Lokadharmi Theatre, Kochi

Navalaavanyam presents a specialised Mohiniyattam workshop led by renowned classical dancer Jayaprabha Menon, focusing on “Pneumonics in Mohiniyattam – Nritta & Abhinaya.” The workshop is designed for dancers, classical art students, and performers interested in deepening their understanding of movement vocabulary, expressive storytelling, rhythmic interpretation, and performance techniques within the Mohiniyattam tradition.

The sessions will explore both Nritta (pure dance) and Abhinaya (expressional aspects of dance), offering participants practical training in body movement, expression, rhythm, stage presence, and artistic interpretation. Conducted in an immersive learning environment, the workshop aims to help dancers refine technique while exploring the emotional and narrative dimensions of Kerala’s classical dance heritage.

Hosted at Lokadharmi Theatre in Kochi, the workshop is ideal for Mohiniyattam practitioners, classical dancers, performing arts students, and cultural enthusiasts seeking advanced dance learning experiences in Kerala.
